"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." -- Aristotle Born in Greenwich Village,New York City, I came under the influence of the rich ethnic diversity which included local artists, writers, and actors. I later moved to Staten Island and became an avid reader of romance novels while commuting on the Staten Island ferry or sunning at South Beach. In school I was blessed with inspiring teachers who encouraged my creative side. I earned a B.A. in English from St. John's University and an M.A. in Teaching from Montclair State University. Along with being a novelist and poet, I teach language arts. I married my high school sweetheart, and we have one son. We share our home in New Jersey with Murphy, a mixed Labrador Retriever, who keeps me company in the wee hours of the morning or late in the evenings when I do most of my writing.
When I'm not writing, teaching, or dreaming up ideas for stories, I enjoy nature walks, yoga, drawing, concerts, theater, and the movies. Born under the sign of Sagittarius, the archer, I also enjoy travel, meeting new people, and philosophy. Often times my travels inspire my settings or ideas for stories. Those include trips to Mexico, Ireland, England, Italy, Alaska, Greece, France, Spain, Scotland, Canada, and a good part of the United States of America. Along the way I've learned many things, but like Dorothy said in The Wizard of Oz, "there's no place like home", and I enjoy writing about places in New Jersey. I hope you'll find my stories inspiring and enjoyable.
My paranormal romances and western historical romance are published, and I will soon have a young adult paranormal romance published.
