Author Catherine Greenfeder
Born in Greenwich Village, New York City, I came under the influence of the rich ethnic diversity which included local artists, writers, and actors. I later moved to Staten Island and became an avid reader of romance novels while commuting on the Staten Island ferry or sunning at South Beach. In school I was blessed with inspiring teachers who encouraged my creative side. I earned a B.A. in English from St. John's University and an M.A. in Teaching from Montclair State University. Along with being a novelist and poet, I teach language arts. I married my high school sweetheart, and we have one son. We share our home in New Jersey with Murphy, a mixed Labrador Retriever who keeps me company when I'm writing late at night or in the wee hours of the morning.
I 'm grateful for the mentors I met in the Romance Writers of America and Liberty State Fiction Writers. Critique groups have helped me with support and constructive critique on my writing.

First Book Signing in 2006
My passion for storytelling comes from my Irish American mother and both sets of grandparents.
After my first book ANGELS AMONG US was published I did a book signing, one of several, at the Nutley Public Library. Both ANGELS AMONG US and WILDFLOWERS received great reviews.
